About the School
We're a K-10 School of 220 students situated on Lardil Country within a Community of Islands in the Gulf of Carpentaria, far North West Queensland. We invite the young people of the Community to Thaldi Bana Merri - "come and learn", as we teach and learn the Curriculum through connection to Country, Culture and Language. Our team of passionate educators work with families to create a school that enables our young people to be strong, proud and successful citizens in a 21st century world.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Coordinator you will lead a small team to manage and deliver the Children and Schooling Programme funded by the Commonwealth Government through the NIAA. You will co-design with Community Stakeholders, and drive strategies that:
* Support families to give children a valuable start in life through improved early childhood development, care, education and school readiness.
* Get children to school.
* Improve literacy and numeracy.
* Support successful transitions to further education and work.
* Use data such as student attendance rates, levels of achievement and student and parent feedback to measure the success of these strategies and make changes or adjustments as needed.
* Lead your team of Student Attendance Officers to support implementation of agreed strategies.
