About the role
You will provide strategic leadership and coordination of the postgraduate Health Leadership and Education programs, ensuring excellence in program delivery, student experience, and academic quality. Lead innovative online learning and assessment practices, deliver effective program and course management, and work collaboratively with key stakeholders to drive continuous curriculum improvement and maintain contemporary, high-quality web-based education.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement program and course development activities aligned with strategic priorities
* Lead the coordination of the Health Leadership and Education suite of postgraduate programs and courses
* Maintain effective quality assurance systems and processes to support high-quality program delivery and continuous improvement.
* Teach content in the health leadership and education courses, including development of innovative online learning activities and assessments.
* Supervise Masters level coursework students
* Review and update course content on a cyclical basis to ensure relevance, quality and alignment with contemporary practice.
* Provide timely and appropriate pastoral care and academic support to students.
* Contribute to student recruitment, orientation and enrolment activities.
* Contribute to other postgraduate courses in the School of Medicine as directed
* Contribute to appropriate School committees
* Work collaboratively with academic and professional staff to support program delivery
Qualifications, skills & experience
* Possession of a PhD or a Medical qualification registrable with AHPRA and a Fellowship of a relevant professional body or significant progress towards.
* Experience in teaching at Masters level or higher or in medical, health or professional practice-based education settings.
* Demonstrated experience in curriculum and course development, including development of online learning activities and assessments.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team of educators, preferably in a university or health service environment, to provide a quality learning experience.
* Demonstrated capacity to implement and maintain effective systems and processes for ensuring the quality delivery of the program, and for leading continuous quality improvement
* An ability to foster strong and effective external relationships and communication with schools, potential students and other stakeholders
