Role Overview
As a Drill Supervisor at DRC Drilling, based in NSW, you will oversee drilling operations to ensure they are conducted efficiently, safely, and according to company and regulatory standards. You will manage a team of drillers, communicate closely with clients, and ensure the successful execution of drilling projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate drilling activities, including planning, execution, and review.
* Ensure all drilling operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
* Manage and lead a team of drillers, providing guidance, training, and support.
* Monitor and control drilling equipment and techniques to optimize performance.
* Collaborate with engineers, geologists, and other professionals to ensure project objectives are met.
* Maintain accurate records of drilling operations, including progress reports and safety logs.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during drilling operations.
* Conduct regular inspections of drill sites and drilling equipment and ensure maintenance schedules are met.
* Ensure adherence to environmental and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Hold a Cert IV in Drilling Operations (for the right candidate DRC Drilling will assist in attaining this qualification).
* Proven experience as a Driller Supervisor with a strong drilling and leadership history.
* Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Ability to work in challenging and remote environments.
* Effective communication and problem‐solving abilities both internally and externally.
