The Business

Our client, a Trustee, works across Private Clients, Corporate & Fund Services and Philanthropy. Within the Private Client business, sits the Health and Personal Injury offering, which provides ongoing financial stewardship for individuals in receipt of a compensation payment. Based in all capital cities, the team is expanding, particularly in Perth and is in need of some empathetic Relationship Managers who can work with vulnerable clients and leverage their knowledge within the financial services sector.

The Opportunity

This is a part of the business that really assists clients to manage their financial and personal affairs so it's broad in nature, sometimes challenging but overall, very rewarding. The role will require somebody with a solid understanding of financial management for individuals who lack capacity, generally as a result of a motor vehicle accident or similar circumstance. You will be responsible for administering a portfolio of trusts for these clients and ensuring that the objectives of the trusts are met. You will be a financial manager that handles investments, budgeting and payments and coordinate with lawyers, health professionals and support networks.

This is a genuinely a great opportunity and is perfect for an individual with high emotional intelligence who enjoys complex work and managing relationships at all levels. You will be given autonomy and expected to take responsibility for outcomes while being supported by an experienced team of client support professionals.

The Role
* Manage a portfolio of Personal Health & Injury clients, providing exceptional service and maintaining strong professional relationships with the aim on protecting the financial future of the client for the long term
* Liaise directly with families, advisers, and external stakeholders to ensure all client financial needs are met efficiently and professionally, coaching and planning with clients and organising essential needs with external professionals. This could include house modifications, property sales or medical issues.
* Conduct prudent person reviews and ensure compliance with trustee obligations and internal processes to ensure that compensation payments are managed appropriately
* Stay up to date with legislation and industry developments affecting financial administration and trust management.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external partners such as accountants, solicitors, and financial advisers.
About You
* Experience within financial services across superannuation, insurance or advice so that you can assist clients sort out the complexity in their day-to-day financial affairs
* A desire to work with, and support clients and their families who are suffering significant changes to their lives due to injury
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with clients, stakeholders, and external partners.
* Demonstrated empathy, resilience, and professionalism when handling sensitive or complex client situations and ideally you can hold your own in most situations
* Experience working within, or having an understanding of the NDIS or that sector would be a definite advantage
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines, manage client files, and maintain exceptional attention to detail
* Tertiary qualifications highly desirable
