Mine Geologist
We are partnering with one of our key clients to recruit 2 x Mine Geologists on a permanent basis for their Lithium project near Kalgoorlie as they transition into production. Play a key leadership role in establishing and developing the geology function across both open pit and underground operations. Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will be part of a collaborative and dynamic team focused on delivering safe, efficient and value‐driven mining outcomes. This role will suit a geologist who enjoys working in a hands‐on operational environment, is eager to develop their technical capabilities, and wants to be part of a growing ASX‐listed mining company with strong long‐term prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support open pit and underground development and production activities
* Conduct geological mapping, sampling and data collection
* Assist with grade control programs and ore mark‐up activities
* Support drilling programs, including resource development and production drilling
* Maintain accurate geological records, databases and reporting systems
* Assist with geological interpretation and orebody understanding
* Contribute to reconciliation reporting and analysis
* Work closely with Mining, Planning and Technical Services teams to support operational performance
* Promote and uphold strong safety, environmental and community standards
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the geology function
Key Requirements:
* Experience in mine geology within open pit and/or underground mining operations
* Lithium experience highly regarded, otherwise other hard rock commodities will be considered
* Degree in Geology recognised in Australia
* Strong understanding of grade control and mine geology practices
* Well‐developed communication and teamwork skills
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop professionally
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Practical problem‐solving ability and a solutions‐focused mindset
* Manual C class drivers licence
