Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the day-to‑day operational management of cleaning and accommodation service delivery at ISS RAAF Edinburgh. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional service standards, operational efficiency, and the safety and wellbeing of all Placemakers and Client personnel. You’ll oversee contracts, projects, plant and equipment maintenance, soft services, and drive continuous improvement across the site.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of the plant and equipment maintenance program and all soft services for your allocated Client site
- Oversee all service contracts, ensuring SLA and KPI targets are met or exceeded
- Take full financial responsibility — purchasing, competitive pricing, tenders, approvals, and timely settlements
- Develop budgets, present to the Key Account Manager, and manage financial reporting
- Coordinate with the Client on significant projects and critical events, ensuring compliance with established rules
- Determine resource requirements for ISS and contracted staff to maintain service delivery
- Lead, manage, and develop reporting ISS staff
- Set policy, objectives, and business plans for the site
- Build strong day‑to‑day relationships with Client stakeholders
- Prepare and present regular Client reports to agreed criteria
- Ensure compliance with ISS and Client HSEQ standards, promoting safe work practices
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and site personnel satisfaction
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in an operational leadership position
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Solid financial and budget management skills
- Degree or equivalent qualification in business, facilities management, or related field
- Senior First Aid certification
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
- Strategic and operational mindset with a track record of driving improvements
- Excellent problem‑solving skills
- Cultural awareness and ability to work respectfully with diverse backgrounds
- Results‑focused with solid prioritisation and solution‑generation skills
- Ability to work autonomously with high motivation, initiative, and resilience
- Capacity to balance secure environment requirements with promoting healthy routines
Compliance
Must be an Australian Citizen and must hold or be eligible for a Baseline Security Clearance.
