About the Role
As a Program Manager at Bluestaq Australia, you will lead complex and high-impact programs from concept through delivery, applying your program management and systems engineering expertise to advance defence-aligned technology outcomes. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless program execution, strong stakeholder relationships, and alignment with Bluestaq's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end program lifecycle management—from planning, execution and delivery to sustainment and closure.
Build and maintain trusted relationships across Defence, government and industry stakeholders, fostering collaboration and long-term partnership.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable program plans, measurable milestones and accountable deliverables.
Manage schedules, budgets and risks with precision, ensuring programs remain on course and compliant with Defence frameworks.
Drive integration across engineering, operations and product teams to deliver solutions that meet operational, technical and security requirements.
Develop and maintain program reporting structures, documentation and dashboards using tools such as Confluence and Jira.
Anticipate and mitigate program risks through proactive planning, clear communication and strong governance.
About You
Minimum ***** years of experience in program management and systems delivery within Defence, government or complex technology programmes.
Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, project management or a related field (PMP, PgMP or equivalent credentials highly regarded).
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in high-security or Defence environments.
Deep understanding of Agile and traditional project management methodologies, with the ability to adapt approaches to programme needs.
Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, including experience briefing senior Defence and government clients.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, complex dependencies and risk under tight timelines.
High level of analytical thinking, systems-based problem solving and strategic decision-making.
Willingness to travel within Australia to customer and partner locations, including secure government or defence sites, and occasional travel to Bluestaq offices in the United States.
Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV1 security clearance.
