Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking passionate and qualified immunisation nurses to join our team of casual nurse immuniser's.
If you are a qualified Division 1 Registered Nurse with accredited immunisation endorsement as specified by Victorian Government Gazette – no. S518 – 3 October 2022, this is the job for you.
Council's Immunisation Team delivers 8 public immunisation clinics each month targeting infants from 0-4years and general members of the public according to the National Immunisation Program. The Immunisation Team visits all secondary schools in Greater Shepparton City Council to provide scheduled vaccines to students in year 7 and year 10 and businesses to provide seasonal flu vaccination.
As part of Council's pool of Immunisation Nurses, you will deliver an efficient and effective Council immunisation service by administering appropriate vaccinations to infants, secondary school students, businesses and general public (flu vaccines) in accordance with the Australian Immunisation Handbook and Guidelines for Immunisation Practice in Local Government, the National Immunisation Schedule and Victorian Government funded immunisation program.
You will also be required to assist in the administrative duties in relation to maintaining client immunisation records and provide clinical advice in relation to eligibility for vaccination, including catch-up vaccination plan, and post vaccination care.
Individuals with a passion to provide quality clinical care to a diverse range of clients, have excellent communication skills and a flair for easing the nerves of anxious clients are invited to apply.
