What you'll be doing
We're looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our growing team. You will be based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane and will focus on launching and scaling PEXA's Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) solution within the Real‑Estate sector, building strong foundations for growth across new markets and products.
You'll play a pivotal role in driving PEXA's expansion strategy – identifying opportunities, cultivating partnerships, and delivering tangible business outcomes across a fast‑evolving ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive new business: prospect, engage, and close opportunities within the Real Estate market, leading with PEXA's AML product suite.
* Build partnerships: develop strong, long‑term relationships with agencies, compliance providers, and industry partners through events, workshops, and strategic engagement.
* Deliver results: create and manage a robust pipeline from lead to close, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Collaborate and influence: partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure go‑to‑market alignment and exceptional customer experiences.
* Shape strategy: bring market insights and customer feedback to refine product‑market fit and guide future growth initiatives.
What You'll Bring
* 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally within fintech, regtech, proptech, or financial services.
* Proven hunter mentality with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
* Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills.
* Commercially astute and data‑driven, with a strategic mindset.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Experience selling AML/KYC, compliance, or workflow automation solutions and an understanding of the Real Estate or Property Technology ecosystem is highly regarded.
