With pathways for advancement and personal growth, we are a premier gold employer. This role is for a Senior Mine Planning Engineer at our Jundee Operations. Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will lead a team of planning engineers, build capability, and deliver monthly, three-monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts. The position operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, FIFO from Perth.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of Mine Planning Engineers, providing leadership, mentorship, training, and development opportunities.
* Contribute to the underground team to deliver monthly, three-monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
* Undertake all planning activities, incorporating medium- and long-term planning requirements.
* Produce and deliver quarterly forecasts, H2 reforecast, spatial compliance reports (actual vs budget), annual budget preparation, and life-of-asset plans.
* Undertake underground mine design, level extraction plan preparation, and economic evaluation.
* Prepare Ore Reserves in accordance with JORC Code definitions.
* Liaise with Production, Paste Fill, Geotechnical, and Geology workgroups to ensure medium- and long-term priorities are translated into short-term plans.
* Identify and implement opportunities to optimise mining processes and drive business improvement strategies.
Experience
* Underground mine planning experience in hard rock operations, with a focus on short, medium, and long-term planning and forecasting.
* Competency in Deswik packages (Scheduler, CAD, SO).
* Experience in financial modelling and cost estimation, with ability to analyse risk, communicate planning assumptions, and present data-driven insights.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
* Current Australian C-Class Drivers Licence.
* WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency is desirable.
