About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Facilities Technician to help ensure our flagship property The Gladston is maintained to the highest standards. You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and beautifully maintained environment for our residents. This is a full‑time, on‑site position working across preventive maintenance, repairs, and service requests.

Responsibilities

- Carry out day‑to‑day maintenance tasks including general repairs, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests.
- Support preventive maintenance programs to keep equipment and facilities in top condition.
- Maintain community cleanliness and presentation to Greystar’s premium standards.
- Oversee contractor work, ensuring quality, safety and full compliance.
- Ensure all work complies with safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Assist the Community Manager and wider team in creating an exceptional living experience for residents.

Qualifications

- Experience in property, facilities, or building maintenance.
- Trade skills across carpentry, painting, plumbing or electrical (qualifications desirable but not essential).
- Comfortable lifting up to 12 kg, climbing ladders, and staying active throughout the day while following safe work practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive attitude and pride in your work.
- Ability to obtain a favourable National Criminal History Check and Working with Children clearance.
