Camco Engineering, a leading mechanical engineering company in Perth, Western Australia, is offering an exciting opportunity for a professional Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at our head office in Canning Vale.
About the role
In this role, you will design mechanical systems for both client and internal projects:
Proficient in 3D modelling, detail drawings using SolidWorks or other similar 3D CAD systems.
Experience reverse engineering of existing mechanical and structural components.
Collaborating with project managers, design engineers and draftspersons to meet technical requirements.
Perform engineering design calculations ensuring compliance with Australian standards and client specifications.
About you
A minimum of 5 - 6 years' professional experience in mechanical engineering design.
Core understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles and Australian design standards.
Tertiary qualifications in professional Mechanical Engineering.
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation software such as ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation or similar FEA packages.
Experience using FEA to solve, static stress analysis, dynamic fatigue or vibrations analysis.
Experience designing mechanical lifting equipment, transport frames, steel structures and mechanical component design, using Australian design standards.
Strong work ethic, self-motivated, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
