Spend a calm and comforting hour with a lovely elderly lady who enjoys a good chat and watching her favourite TV shows. It's the simple things—sharing company and quiet moments—that mean the most.
Your visits might include sitting together enjoying her favourite programs, chatting about what's on screen, or just having a relaxed conversation that brings a smile to her day.
This is all about companionship, kindness, and being present. If you enjoy easygoing company and creating small, meaningful moments, this could become a special part of your week.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements
18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
