Graduate Engineer – Civil Engineering

About the role
Reporting to the Project Manager, this role offers hands‐on experience across site‐based engineering, project coordination and construction delivery. You will support engineers and supervisors to deliver projects safely, on time and to a high quality standard.
Key responsibilities
* Develop a strong understanding of project drawings, specifications and compliance requirements across quality, safety (OH&S) and environmental standards.
* Support the implementation of project quality, safety and environmental management plans.
* Assist in monitoring and updating construction programmes to ensure project milestones are achieved.
* Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure materials are ordered and delivered in line with project timelines.
* Support the assessment and processing of subcontractor progress claims and monthly reporting requirements.
* Assist in preparing and submitting project progress claims.
* Monitor site activities, variations, delays and extensions of time, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
* Work closely with site teams to track daily production, resource efficiency and project costs.
* Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, meetings and inspections.Support compliance through quality inspections, documentation and record keeping.
* Actively engage in training and development initiatives to enhance technical and professional skills.
About you
* Recently completed (or near completion of) a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Strong understanding of construction principles and a desire to build a career in the civil construction industry.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach on site.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
* Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and seek guidance from senior team members.
* Commitment to safety, environmental and quality standards.
* Flexibility to travel to project sites (including regional or interstate if required).
