We are seeking a
Technical Lead
to guide the delivery and evolution of a modern SaaS platform build for our client. This role combines
hands-on engineering
,
architecture leadership
, and
delivery oversight
, ensuring that the platform can be built, shipped, and iterated on with quality, security, and pace. This Is an initial 3-6 month FTC
You will work directly with product, design, and engineering resources (including internal and external contributors) to shape system architecture, own core implementation patterns, and instil high engineering standards across the team
Technology Stack & Architecture
You must be fluent and confident across the following:
Frontend
* React + Vite
* TailwindCSS, Radix UI, shadcn/ui
* Recharts (data visualization)
* Zod (type-safe validation)
* jsPDF (document exports)
* Playwright (E2E testing)
Backend
* NestJS (Fastify preferred runtime)
* Swagger / OpenAPI contracts
* Postgres (RDS) + Drizzle for schema and migrations
* Zod for input validation
* Docker for stateless app containers
Infrastructure
* AWS: S3 (pre-signed URL flows), CloudFront (SPA hosting), RDS Postgres
* JWT authentication w/ RBAC authorization patterns
* CI/CD setup, feature-flag friendly environments (Staging + Production)
The opportunity #yourrole
By joining Tranzformd, you will be working with ASX listed companies on transformation strategies, initiatives and programs of work. This might include but is not limited to the following:
Architecture & Planning
Translate product requirements into scalable architecture designs and delivery plans. De-risk early via thin vertical slices and rapid prototyping.
Hands-On Engineering
Write and review high-quality production code across
frontend and backend
components. Own key modules, system patterns, and performance-critical paths.
Engineering Standards & Practices
Define and enforce standards for:
* Module boundaries and layering
* API contracts & typing rigor
* Testing strategies and code review quality
* Observability, tracing, logging, metrics
CI/CD, Environments & Tooling
Stand up fast, reliable deployments and environment configurations, including:
* CI/CD pipelines
* IaC or automation scripts
* Safe rollback strategies and environment parity
Security & Reliability
Implement and maintain:
* JWT auth lifecycle and RBAC enforcement server-side
* Secure S3 pre-signed workflows
* Input validation via Zod
* Secrets management and operational backup/restore controls
Performance & Scalability
Own monitoring, profiling, performance tuning, caching strategies, and error budgets.
Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor mid-level developers. Work collaboratively in 6-week delivery cycles alongside AI Engineers, Designers, external partners, and Product leadership.
Required Qualifications:
* 6-10+ years building production-grade SaaS systems
* 3+ years technical-leading or leading small engineering squads
* Strong professional experience in:
* React + TypeScript (with Vite, TailwindCSS, Radix/shadcn)
* NestJS (Fastify), TypeScript backend architecture
* Postgres schema design and performance optimization
* Drizzle (or similar migration frameworks)
* AWS S3, CloudFront, IAM, RDS and SPA hosting patterns
* JWT auth lifecycle + RBAC in stateless environments
* Playwright (E2E), API contract testing, CI pipeline gates
* Docker-based deployments and feature-flag-driven rollouts
* Demonstrated:
* Incident response pragmatism
* Ability to balance delivery speed with code quality
* Strong stakeholder communication and technical decision-making
