Welcome to our organization, where Health and Security Assistants play a vital role in maintaining safety and order across facilities. You’ll be the frontline in protecting communities’ health and wellbeing in a supportive rural setting.
As part of our multidisciplinary care team, you will support the delivery of safe patient-centred care to diverse populations. This role works under the guidance of clinical staff providing general assistance in wards, portering patients within facilities/campuses, undertaking cleaning duties and security duties as required under the direction of clinical staff.
We are looking for someone with current NSW Security licence (Class 1A minimum) and the ability to maintain the security licence and current Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) First Aid Certificate, or the ability and willingness to obtain these within the first three months of employment.
Other key requirements include knowledge of person-centred care, experience working and communicating with people from all backgrounds, physical capacity to perform duties including lifting and transferring patients, demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and aggression management, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
