We are currently seeking an experienced Art Director to play a pivotal role in developing disruptive, highly engaging, and innovative brand and product campaigns across the Foxtel Group portfolio and DAZN. You will lead the visual development process from initial concept to cross-channel execution, ensuring the highest standards of visual storytelling.
Reporting to the Executive Creative Director, you'll have the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in sports and television as you join us in taking us to new heights. This role centres on developing innovative, strategically aligned creative campaigns that uphold brand values and leverage current media and sports broadcasting trends.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner closely with copywriters to develop compelling creative concepts and co-manage casting for all broadcast, photographic, and voiceover talent.
* Present creative work to internal stakeholders and clients, delivering strong insights and strategic rationale to support your ideas.
* Brief and liaise effectively with external creative and production suppliers, including directors, producers, illustrators, and photographers.
* Provide detailed guidance, oversight, and art direction to internal designers and finished artists throughout the production lifecycle.
* Collaborate with account management and traffic teams to actively monitor project schedules and provide accurate time estimates for planning.
* Work alongside media planners and buyers to tailor integrated campaigns across diverse broadcasting and digital channels.
* Act as the primary client liaison for ongoing projects while attending concept and campaign research groups to continually refine the creative output.
About your experience
* 5+ years of Art Direction experience within an advertising or creative agency
* Exceptional skills across the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects), with experience in 2D/3D motion graphics, video editing, and image retouching considered a strong bonus.
* Comprehensive understanding of fundamental design principles (colour theory, typography, perspective, and grid structures) as well as broadcast and digital production processes.
* Proven capability to seamlessly juggle multiple campaigns at once, thoroughly quality-check work, and confidently command the respect of freelancers and junior designers to oversee their output.
* Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, ensuring you can effectively champion ideas and manage challenging situations with both internal teams and external clients.
* A highly collaborative mindset with a solid grasp of what motivates both clients and creatives, allowing you to bridge gaps across the agency and the wider business.
* Tertiary qualifications in Arts, Advertising, Communications Design, or Creative Writing, or graduation from an industry program such as AWARD School, are highly desirable.
* A demonstrated professional interest in the entertainment, media, and sports broadcasting sectors.
