KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide culturally safe mentoring and strengths-based support to First Nations students participating in the Beyond the Broncos Program – Support student engagement, retention, and academic progress at Roma State College – Work collaboratively with key stakeholders including school staff, parents, carers, Indigenous community members, NGOs, and government agencies – Update and maintain student profiles and records – Provide career pathway support including mentoring, work experience, industry engagement, information sessions, and self-awareness activities – Implement, monitor, and review strategies related to attendance, behaviour, effort, retention, and attainment – Undertake other ad hoc tasks as required REQUIREMENTS – Previous experience working with First Nations young people and understanding of local community groups – Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Education, Youth, or Community Service – Strong communication and interpersonal skills – Comprehensive administration and reporting skills – Strong respect for confidentiality involving participants and team members – Current Driver's Licence – Current Blue Card and/or Working With Children Check (WWCC) WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role plays a direct part in improving educational engagement and long-term outcomes for First Nations young people in a regional setting.
