Position Overview

We're looking for a site-based HSEQ Advisor to join our Infrastructure Services – Albany team. The role involves overseeing road construction and maintenance activities in the Great Southern and South-West Regions, requiring frequent site travel and periods away from home.

Responsibilities

* Ensure our Safety System is effectively implemented on site.
* Conduct and lead ICAM investigations, and prepare and conduct QSE audits and inspections.
* Perform plant inspections, inductions, risk assessments and review SWMS.
* Collect, analyse and update data for reported injuries, hazards, incidents and near misses.
* Liaise with project personnel and subcontractors to discuss issues, incidents and corrective action.
* Complete monthly reports and statistics, and review and implement legislative and regulatory changes.
* Lead relevant safety training and assist in the management of injuries to achieve the best outcomes, together with advice and assistance on Roadworks Traffic Management.

Qualifications

* Proven experience with top or mid-tier contractors delivering construction or engineering maintenance projects with a strong commitment to a Living Safely culture and traffic management.
* Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, leading ICAM investigations and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills.
* Positive, engaging, and solutions-oriented attitude to quickly make an impact and integrate into a close-knit team.
* Sound HSEQ systems development, implementation and management experience.
