Job Description
We are seeking a senior HSSE Specialist to work closely with site leadership and stakeholders in our Cadbury factory in Claremont to drive a culture of zero incidents and an optimum environmental footprint. The role involves implementing site‐specific HSSE initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and supporting continuous improvement and risk management.
How You Will Contribute
* Assist with cultural transformation to help the plant achieve zero accidents and incidents.
* Coordinate and oversee implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes.
* Apply knowledge of the OHS Act, regulations and standards.
* Maintain the State Self‐insurance through Risk Management systems, audit preparation and corrective action closure.
* Provide Health and Safety expertise for new projects and change management activities.
* Follow up on non‐conformances and develop corrective actions based on root‐cause analysis.
* Maintain an up‐to‐date incident reporting system, investigate incidents with the HSE Pillar team and safety committee, and drive corrective actions to eliminate root causes and recurrence.
* Support technical guidance programs to identify and eliminate physical hazards, reduce accidents caused by unsafe acts and conditions, and drive energy and waste reductions.
What You Will Bring
* Ideally 7+ years' experience in a similar HSSE role.
* Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety.
* Solid experience in safety and environmental technical standards, especially within a production or fast‐paced environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels.
* Motivated and driven to learn and develop.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
Education / Certifications
* Degree qualified in an applicable Science/Engineering/Supply Chain discipline preferred.
