As the Principal Contractor for the Naval Communications Station Harold EHolt (NCSHEH) located in Exmouth, Western Australia, Raytheon Australia provides services for the maintenance and operation of critical Defence infrastructure including the Space Surveillance Telescope (SST), Very Low Frequency (VLF) Communications Transmitter and C‐Band Radar. To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated Mission System Manager who is ready to join a diverse, talented and enthusiastic team of professionals in Exmouth, Western Australia.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Mission System Manager is responsible for leading a large diverse team of trade and technical professionals that directly support the critical mission systems and supporting services at HEH Naval Communication Station. The role requirements include team performance, KPI management, customer liaison, scheduling, solution development and management of projects to satisfy contractual or internally scoped requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and collaborating within a cross‐functional environment to manage budget, resources and reporting to ensure effective execution of maintenance activities.
* Ensure Quality & EH&S standards are built and maintained in alignment with company policies.
* Ensure that maintenance requirements and requests are planned, scheduled and managed in accordance with program priorities.
* Monitor and control maintenance activities to ensure completion within budget, schedule and required quality outcomes.
* Practice excellent stakeholder management to maintain effective relationships.
* Act in accordance with company expectations relating to professional workplace behaviour.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience keeping your teams safe, leading with safety as a core value.
* Experience supervising a team consisting of various trade and technical professions.
* Demonstrate experience managing maintenance in a systematic way to maximise the value of the assets entrusted with.
* Exposure to Engineering Change Management processes.
* Diploma in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics, or Engineering in a related discipline.
* Diploma in Leadership & Management, or equivalent.
* Experience improving processes to deliver results for customers and teams.
* Eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level1 Security Clearance as needed.
