About therole:
SpeechPathologist OR Occupational Therapist
Children's Centresfor Early Childhood Development and Parenting (children'scentres) provide a network of integrated health, family support andeducation service hubs for families with babies and young childrenacross South Australia. Children's centres speechpathologists and occupational therapists provide a range ofdiscipline-informed group and individual services for children,families and colleagues that promote children's healthydevelopment and support parenting through both universal andtargeted service provision. The speech pathologist/occupationaltherapist provides evidence-based services drawing upon keyincluding attachment theory, trauma informed practice, culturalresponsiveness, and they use a strengths-based approach. Speechpathologists/occupational therapists are members ofinterdisciplinary teams working in partnership with families,government and non-government sector colleagues across community,home and learning environments.
StudentSupport Services are on a cultural response journey, as such wevalue and prioritise Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing andbeing.
Qualifications:
SpeechPathologist
Essential: An appropriate degree or equivalent which gives eligibility forfull membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
Desirable: Current practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia withCertified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status.
OccupationalTherapist
Essential: Current and full registration with the Occupational Therapy Boardof Australia
Desirable: Nil.
Specialconditions:
Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC(Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care)Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online(Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated everythree years.

Remuneration:
AHP2$88,255 - $102,240 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%)(will be adjusted to actual hours worked).

Those who live in theAdelaide metropolitan area are encouraged to apply if willing toconsider a Drive In/ Drive Out or Fly In/ Fly Out arrangementaligned with the FTE of the position across the school term (e.g.3-4 trips of 3–5-day durations, with remaining days providingonline support whilst based in Adelaide) or a similararrangement.
