Your impact
Jacobs' Energy & Power Advisory team sits at the forefront of the energy transition, helping clients navigate complex, rapidly evolving electricity and gas markets across APAC. We combine deep market expertise with advanced quantitative modelling to deliver strategic insights on market behaviour, investment decisions, policy, and system transformation. Our work spans power market analytics, regulatory design, decarbonisation pathways, and commercial advisory, supporting governments, developers, investors, and utilities to make confident, future‐focused decisions.
As demand grows for more sophisticated, data‐driven insights, our team continues to evolve, integrating advanced modelling techniques, automation, and innovative tools to stay ahead of market change. Through our work, we play a key role in shaping the future of energy systems, supporting the transition to low‐carbon, reliable and economically sustainable power markets. This role will contribute to ensuring our modelling and insights directly influence how the region invests in and delivers the energy transition.
We are looking for an Energy Market Analyst / Modeller to join our growing advisory team, supporting the delivery of high‐quality market analysis and modelling across electricity and gas markets. At this level, you'll bring a strong foundation in energy markets alongside data, coding, and modelling capability, with the opportunity to further develop your market and economic knowledge on the job. You will contribute to complex projects, helping to analyse market trends, interpret policy impacts, and support the development of modelling outputs that inform real‐world decisions. This is an opportunity to build your profile as a well‐rounded energy market specialist while playing a hands‐on role in projects that shape investment, policy, and system outcomes.

* Background in a quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering, data science, mathematics, economics or similar)
* Experience analysing market trends, system behaviour, or investment drivers within the energy sector
* Ability to translate technical analysis and modelling outputs into clear, practical insights
* Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and a desire to continue building market and economic expertise
