Operations Officer within the Rivtow Marine Port Hedland team.
We are looking for the best of the best.
* Residential in Port Hedland, WA (not FIFO)
* Permanent Full‐Time Role

This role will see you:
* Prepare agenda, minutes and attend scheduled meetings as required
* Develop and prepare operational reports including operational statistics for the Operational Superintendent
* Triage all contact from Client Marine operations team, vessel crews and other port user stakeholders for day‐to‐day operations; may require on‐call duties
* Work with the client Rivtow Fleet and the Shoreside Team to facilitate safe, reliable daily operation of vessels and associated infrastructure (tugs, barge, crew transfer vessels)
* Support the Operations Superintendent and Operations Supervisor in planning and implementing crew training programs as per training strategy
* Log all incidents, injuries, near misses and assist in conducting investigations, as required
* Attend vessel inspections, as required
* Champion QHSE Field Leadership and continuous improvement projects
You will need:
* Experience in the marine industry, towage, and port operations will set you apart
* Client relationship building and an understanding of contract management
* Demonstrated flexibility and resilience in dealing with complex issues and implementing sound problem‐solving methodology
* Good understanding of business management (people, process and financial operational management) principles
* Proven ability to deliver results within agreed time frames
* Good understanding of Marine, Class Society and QHSE legislation, management systems and practices
* Hold an MSIC or be able to obtain an MSIC
* Strong computer capability and excellent numeric skills
* Must be an exceptional team player, with proven ability to work with diverse teams and implement influencing skills to achieve outcomes
