The Eva Copper Mine Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People in North West Queensland, approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa.
The Project is an iron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.
The opportunity
Are you an experienced and motivated Maintenance Leading Hands with a passion for adventure? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Maintenance Leading Hands to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project, in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia.
As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you'll be responsible for supporting safe, efficient production across our fleet while working with a high-performing maintenance team.

Responsibilities
* Lead a skilled mobile maintenance team following Supervisors' and Superintendents' directives
* Fulfill the Maintenance Supervisors' duties in their absence
* Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation
* Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems
* Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel
* Source and requisition parts and/or equipment requirements through the appropriate manuals or publications using the correct ordering procedure
* Verify the implementation of solutions and/or control further non-conforming machinery until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
* Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent
* Current G1, G8, G9 (formally S1,2,3) & RIIRIS402E G2
* Proven mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance HD Fitters
* Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
* You will also need to always possess high regard and practice health and safety
