Responsibilities
This opportunity is central to keeping our Intermodal network operating effectively by coordinating fleet activity to ensure freight is delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule. As a Fleet Allocator, you'll partner closely with drivers, contractors and internal teams, making real-time decisions that directly influence operational performance and customer experience.
* Allocate and coordinate fleet movements to meet daily service and customer requirements
* Communicate proactively with drivers, customers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across operations
* Manage bookings, manifests and transport documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance standards are met
* Update and maintain job records in SAP, supporting the flow of operational information
* Monitor fleet utilisation and respond to real-time changes, escalating issues where required
* Complete yard checks, reinforce safety practices and support Linfox's Vision Zero commitment
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar operational role within the Logistics/Transport/Rail industry will be highly regarded
* Excellent problem‐solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast‐paced environment
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, drivers and customers
* Strong geographical knowledge of the Brisbane metro area will be highly regarded, however not essential
* Highly organised with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a very high‐pressure environment
* Highly proficient computer skills and ability to pick things up quickly
