About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Communications Network Engineer to support the design, development and integration of complex Defence communications networks.
In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of resilient and scalable network capabilities across system‐of‐systems environments, supporting mission‐critical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing and supporting OSI‐layered network architectures across transport to physical layers
* Working with WAN, SATCOM and RF systems in Defence environments
* Contributing to Defence ICT architecture using DoDAF/NATO frameworks
* Supporting capability development and sustainment activities
* Collaborating with stakeholders across engineering, project and operational teams
* Contributing to C4 system‐of‐systems engineering and/or MBSE activities
To be Successful in this Role
* Strong expertise in OSI‐layered network design, including WAN, SATCOM and RF systems
* Experience in Defence ICT architecture using frameworks such as DoDAF or NATO
* Background in Defence capability development or sustainment environments
* Exposure to C4 systems engineering and/or MBSE methodologies
* Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills

Contract Terms
12 months from commencement date, plus 2×12 month extensions.
Security Requirements
Must be an Australian Citizen with an active NV1 or higher security clearance. The client has expressed a preference for TSPV cleared candidates.
