Position Summary
HR Adviser – 2 positions: one full‐time ongoing and one 12‐month Fixed Term Parental Leave Contract. Flexible locations: Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide or Melbourne. Salary: $92,000 plus 15.4% ABC Nominated Super.
About The Role
As an HR Adviser you'll play a key role in delivering high‐quality HR services to the ABC's News Division. Working in a supportive and experienced People & Culture team you'll provide complex HR advice and support to employees and managers. In the HR Business Partnering team you act as an escalation point to the People & Culture Helpdesk and build relationships with key stakeholders in the News Division. Your work spans employee relations, performance management, recruitment, learning and development, and organisational change. You also contribute to HR projects and initiatives that shape the future of our workforce and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
• Provide complex HR advice and support to employees and managers.
• Act as an escalation point to the People & Culture Helpdesk.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders in the News Division.
• Triage and manage a range of HR matters.
• Work closely with Senior HR Advisers and HR Business Partners to manage people processes and initiatives.
About You
You're proactive, curious, and have a genuine interest in people and a passion for providing excellent HR support. You thrive in a team environment, value collaboration, and bring positive energy.
* Experience in HR, ideally in a shared services or advisory capacity.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build trusted relationships.
* A flexible, solutions‐focused approach, able to manage multiple priorities.
* Experience with HR systems, data management, or analysis (highly regarded).
