Maintenance Officer - Aged Care

About the role
As the Maintenance Officer you will play a critical role in ensuring that our facilities are safe, well‐maintained, and contribute to the well‐being of our residents. You will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our facility, creating a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.
Main duties
* Attend to general maintenance tasks as directed, including gardening as required.
* Check maintenance logs and prioritise tasks, coordinating contractors as required.
* Under the guidance of the Home Manager, plan and schedule maintenance across the home.
* Order and store stock as required.
* Ensure timely action of hazards, incidents and other events that involve the maintenance function.
About you
* Experience in a maintenance/gardening role.
* Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
* Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
* Demonstrated commitment to customer‐focused services.
* Previous experience and understanding of aged care, including retirement village or independent living settings.
* Trade qualifications and/or experience.
