Business Support Manager – NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal

Salary: $129,464 - $142,665 per annum plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
Lead a high-performing team delivering critical business support services to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT).
As the Business Support Manager, you will lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Member and Registry Services (MaRS) team. The team delivers a wide range of business functions supporting NCAT's executive and broader operations, including finance, payroll, purchasing, travel, accounts payable and event coordination.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage team operations, performance and service delivery outcomes.
* Lead, mentor and develop a team of managers and staff.
* Oversee finance and business support functions across the organisation.
* Ensure services meet legislative and organisational requirements.
* Lead the development and continuous improvement of policies, processes and systems.
* Provide strategic advice and insights to senior management.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support business outcomes.

* Proven experience leading business support functions or operational teams.
* Strong leadership capability, including managing managers and developing high performing teams.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under pressure.
* Experience driving business improvement, change and project delivery.
* Strong judgement and the ability to provide advice to senior managers.
* Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder engagement and building strong, productive relationships.
* Strong written communication and attention to detail.
* Experience working in complex, high-volume or sensitive environments.
* Problem‐solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
* Capacity to work in an environment that may involve potential exposure to psychosocial hazards related to the range of services provided in a tribunal environment.
* Strong commitment to collaboration, customer‐focused service delivery, and continuous improvement in line with public sector values.
