About the role
Do you want to join a well-established ophthalmology practice dedicated to delivering high-quality eye care in a warm, professional environment? We're located in Target Center, Warrnambool VIC. We are now seeking a friendly, reliable, and proactive individual to join our team as a Clinic Assistant & Receptionist.
This is a diverse and rewarding role combining front desk duties with clinical support responsibilities. You'll be the welcoming face of the practice and play a key role in ensuring smooth patient journeys from arrival to follow-up.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
* Scheduling and managing patient appointments
* Maintaining up-to-date patient records and medical files
* Processing payments, handling cash and EFTPOS transactions
* Assisting with general office duties and administrative tasks
* Performing basic clinical tests and imaging
* Providing a high level of customer service at all times
Skills you will need
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
* Be organised, punctual, and take pride in your work
* Proficiency in using medical software and computer systems
* A friendly, professional and empathetic approach to patient care
* The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided to the right candidate with the right attitude.
