They are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer / Team Leader to join their Sydney office.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept design through to completion.
* Provide technical leadership and quality assurance across project teams.
* Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout project lifecycles.
* Drive project performance, ensuring delivery against budgets, programmes, and technical objectives.
* Mentor, develop, and support engineers across all levels of experience.
* Contribute to business development activities, including client engagement, proposal preparation, and project acquisition.
* Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated project outcomes.
* Support strategic planning and team growth initiatives within the Sydney business.
About You
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* 8+ years of building services consulting experience within the Australian market.
* Strong technical expertise across HVAC and mechanical building services design.
* Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing client relationships.
* Well-developed understanding of NCC requirements and relevant Australian Standards.
* Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project financial performance.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* Previous experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team development.
* Chartered status or progress towards Chartership will be highly regarded.
