Your new company: Our client is among the world's top producers of major commodities including iron ore, metallurgical coal, copper, and uranium. They extract and process minerals, oil, and gas from its production operations located primarily in Australia and the Americas.
Responsibilities
* Operate diamond cutter saws to prepare core samples for further processing.
* Measure a wide range of material properties of drilled core in preparation for further laboratory work, including specific gravity, magnetic susceptibility, hardness tests, and marking orientation details.
* Prepare samples for dispatch.
* Photograph core and upload images to the database.
* Maintain and adhere to safety standards.
Qualifications
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively outdoors.
* Great attitude and willingness to learn.
* A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
* Previous experience is advantageous but not essential.
