Job Overview
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor – Reliability, this role is responsible for improving plant reliability through advanced condition monitoring, asset performance analysis, and proactive maintenance strategies across critical fixed plant equipment. The role supports the transition from traditional maintenance practices to modern condition‐based maintenance, using data and technology to identify developing faults, reduce equipment failures, and optimise operational performance. Working within Adbri's ISO 55001 aligned Asset Management Framework, the incumbent analyses asset condition, investigates failure trends, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen long‐term equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
* Perform vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication monitoring and oil analysis across critical plant assets
* Analyse condition monitoring data to identify developing faults and equipment reliability risks
* Develop and maintain CBM strategies, measurement points, and maintenance instructions within SAP
* Conduct failure investigations and root cause analysis for rotating equipment and critical assets
* Support the transition from traditional maintenance regimes to condition‐based maintenance strategies
* Prepare and circulate monthly condition monitoring and vibration analysis reports
* Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to improve plant reliability
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of master data and asset strategies within SAP
* Support shutdown planning and supervise specialist contractors where required
* Participate in reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across site
What You Will Need To Succeed
* Relevant engineering, reliability, or trade‐based technical qualification
* Cat II Vibration Analysis certification (or equivalent)
* Demonstrated experience in condition monitoring within heavy industry, manufacturing, or processing environments
* Experience with thermography, lubrication monitoring, oil sampling, and vibration analysis
* Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting asset performance and condition monitoring data
* Experience using CMMS or ERP systems (SAP preferred)
* Experience using vibration data collectors such as Allen Bradley or Emerson
* Strong report writing, documentation, and communication skills
* Experience supervising contract personnel during shutdowns or specialist works

* ISO accreditation in Lubrication or Asset Reliability disciplines
* Experience with FMECA, RCA, or other reliability methodologies
* Exposure to precision installation and rotating equipment reliability practices
