You'll step into a supported pathway into the VET sector, with your TAE fully funded, structured mentoring from day one, and clear options to move into a full-time trainer role over time.
About The Role
Join our team as a VET Trainer & Assessor delivering CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, with future opportunity to deliver CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. This is a 3-day/week role — with a full-time option across Kardinia and Kingston — working with cohorts of 10-15 learners in a supported, structured environment. You'll work closely with a Community Program Coordinator and be backed by a team of experienced trainers. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with genuine potential for ongoing employment.
Duties
* Deliver face-to-face classroom training to groups of 10-15 ECEC learners
* Facilitate competency-based assessment in workplace and simulated environments
* Support learners to build practical skills aligned to national training packages
* Collaborate with Program Coordinators to drive learner success and retention
* Contribute to continuous improvement of training delivery and assessment practices
Skills & Experience
* CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher) — essential
* Strong recent industry experience (for example, Lead Educator, Educational Leader or Centre Manager)
* Current Working With Children Check
* Reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence
* TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment — desirable, not required (we provide full support and funding to gain this qualification)
* Confident communicator with a passion for mentoring and developing others
