Overview
TLEA is welcoming applications for a full-time Senior Advisor Contractor Management to join our team working at our Kwinana plant. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring all contractor activities across site operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and legislative requirements. This role provides a hands-on, field-based approach to contractor engagement, focusing on developing, implementing, and continuously improving contractor management systems and processes. The role drives consistent application of standards across all phases of contractor engagement—from pre-qualification to performance review—ensuring contractors understand and meet the organisation's safety expectations and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain contractor management frameworks, procedures, tools, and forms aligned to corporate HSE and ISO standards.
* Coach and mentor contractor supervisors; assess training effectiveness and provide feedback to drive ongoing improvement.
* Maintain a visible field presence; conduct inspections/audits, verify controls, and provide feedback to contracting organisations on their performance.
* Review performance data and trends; prepare reports/dashboards, communicate standards, and foster collaborative, safety-focused relationships.
* Ensure effective communication of contractor management standards, expectations, and changes across all relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Minimum Cert IV Work Health and Safety
* Minimum 5 years' experience in contractor management or HSE roles within high-risk industries (e.g., chemical, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing)
* Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing contractor management systems and processes
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and contractor safety management practices
* Proven experience delivering or coordinating training programs for supervisors or contractors
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Sound analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities
* Sound understanding of the WHS Act 2020 (WA) and associated regulations
* Leadership experience with direct supervision or mentoring responsibilities
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other applicable software programs
