About the Project
DT Infrastructure have been awarded the design and construction of both the Wind Farm Facility and the Dedicated Network Asset.
The scope for the Wind Farm Facility is inclusive of 42 Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) – foundations and associated civil works including hardstands for the Owner's contractor to install the WTG components, the 33kV underground electrical reticulation between the WTGs, the 33 kV/275kV windfarm substation (inclusive of the switch room, transformers and associated equipment), the Wind Farm O&M facility and 2 permanent met masts.
The scope for the Dedicated Network Asset is inclusive of 12.8km of 275kV overhead transmission line from Carmody's Hill Switching Station to Narridy Switching Station.
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer - Structures to join this high‑profile project. Reporting to the Area Manager, the incumbent will be accountable for providing engineering, technical, quality support and other duties delegated by the Project Manager and Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of comprehensive project plans for assigned projects or work packages, including detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, resource allocation, and budget forecast.
* Oversee and manage day‑to‑day execution of civil or electrical engineering and construction activities on site, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to plan. Interpret and implement complex engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
* Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and technical specifications. Provide expert technical guidance and clarification to site personnel, design teams, and subcontractors regarding engineering drawings, specifications, and construction methods.
* Lead the identification and resolution of complex technical issues, design discrepancies, and construction challenges that arise during project execution.
To be successful
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural) from an accredited institution.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer role in the construction industry.
* Structures experience is essential.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience with developing and managing project schedules.
* Project planning and management skills.
* Experienced and able to prepare and analyse tenders and estimates.
* Demonstrable and successful experience in a business/project operations management role at a similar level.
* Demonstrated ability to proactively build relationships with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities.
