We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Stockbroking Development Team on an 18‐Month max‐term contract, within the Account Management Squad.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to strategic initiatives and drive new feature development across our stockbroking platforms, including Account Management API integrations, backend enhancements, and application modernisation.
* Design, develop, and deliver high‐quality code for new and existing features, focusing on backend development with occasional frontend work using C#, .NET, React, and Angular across on‐premises systems and AWS cloud environments.
* Shape technical solutions, maintain system performance, and support ongoing platform advancement in a large‐scale regulated trading environment.
* Engage with stakeholders across the business, interpret technical requirements, and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
* Build and support API integrations (including third‐party services) and optimise database performance.
* Collaborate with cross‐functional teams, contribute to technical design discussions, and ensure high‐quality, well‐tested code is delivered.
Qualifications
* 7+ years' experience in C# / .NET development with strong backend expertise.
* Strong understanding of AWS cloud architectures (Azure also considered).
* Experience with ASP.NET, Web APIs, and API integrations.
* Solid experience in designing and maintaining API integrations.
* Experience with React or Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
* Extensive experience with Entity Framework and strong MSSQL / T‐SQL skills, including performance tuning.
* Experience working across the full software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment and support.
* Strong understanding of software design principles and user experience best practices.
* Ability to contribute to complex technical discussions and influence outcomes.
