Here are a few handy things to know: Event Date Sunday 14 June 2026. Volunteer Tee-shirts To get your preferred size, please try to be registered by Monday 8 June 2026 as we will be printing out the sizes for packing on Tuesday. Registrations You will register on Rosterfy, clicking on Shifts to select. Volunteer Induction can be done by heading into your Rosterfy account and clicking on training. Volunteer Briefings There will be a volunteer briefing on Wednesday 10 June 2026 at Crystal Flynn between 5.30pm and 6pm. Here you will receive an overview of the event. Tee-shirt, cap, snack pack and pin collection will be from the volunteer tent on Lagoon Plaza. The briefing is for volunteer leaders only and is recommended but not compulsory. Uniform All volunteers are required to wear a volunteer tee-shirt and closed in shoes during their event shift. Tee-shirts will be available for collection at the volunteer briefing or at the volunteer tent prior to your shift. If you would like to collect your tee-shirts prior to the volunteer briefing, please let me know. Volunteer Tent The volunteer tent is situated at Lagoon Plaza and smaller volunteer tent in Palm Cove which will be open at the weekend only.. This is for volunteers who are assisting in Palm Cove at the swim start on in T1. Volunteer Check In All volunteers are required to check in before their shift and check out after their shift. This can be done at the volunteer tent or at the location of your shift, using your Rosterfy account. Refreshments Please bring your own reusable water bottle. All volunteers are given a volunteer snack pack however we do recommend that volunteers bring something substantial especially if you have dietary requirements. Event Venue The event venue is in the Western Events Lawn Volunteer Information Manual General volunteer information and overview of the event a volunteer information manual will be sent when you apply. Volunteer Age Restrictions: All volunteers must be between the ages of 12 years and 85 years. Fatigue Management: Shift duration for Volunteers should not exceed 9 hours per day. Volunteers are required to take at least one 30min rest break across the total shift time, which must be taken no later than 5 hours into the shift. Shuttle Bus There will be complimentary shuttle buses running from Palm Cove and Cairns. Volunteers in their tee-shirts will receive complimentary travel on the shuttle bus.
