Senior Social Worker - Mental Health Crisis Centre - Triage

This is a Permanent/Fixed Term Full-Time appointment (4.0 FTE) with the possibility of extensions and permanency.
We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and experienced Senior Social Workers to join our dynamic Mental Health team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges through high‐quality clinical care, advocacy, and support.
Responsibilities
Successful applicants will, as part of a multidisciplinary team, plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate Social Work services to clients in the clinical specialty area of Mental Health, using advanced Social Work clinical practice skills from a recovery‐oriented and trauma‐informed perspective. They will plan, implement and evaluate client safety and quality of care; supervise Social Work staff, students and support staff in the unit/clinical area, coordinate duties and manage performance; practice as a Senior Social Worker and ensure practice is in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers Practice Standards and Code of Ethics and SMHS policies and guidelines. The successful applicant(s) shall provide clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence‐based care is delivered to patients within the 24/7 Mental Health Crisis Centre (MHCC). This role will require shifts in the day, evening and nights.
