Quality & Environmental Compliance Officer
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Quality & Environmental Compliance Officer to support food safety and quality compliance across our Brisbane North at Airport and Brisbane South at Karawatha Distribution Centre's (DC).
This role is critical in ensuring best‐practice compliance, maintaining accurate and controlled documentation, and driving a strong culture of quality across the site and broader operations. You will partner closely with operational teams, auditors, and leaders to ensure compliance standards are upheld and system processes run effectively.
Day to Day
* Lead food safety and quality compliance activities for the Distribution Centre
* Coordinate and conduct internal audits, investigations and corrective actions
* Monitor legislation, standards and industry requirements and support updates to procedures and systems
* Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with internal and external standards
* Ensure incidents, non‐conformances and corrective actions are recorded and closed within the system
* Identify opportunities to enhance compliance processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Deliver food safety and compliance training, maintain training records and support site inductions
* Partner with operational leaders, auditors, suppliers and contractors to embed compliance into daily operations
* Implement environmental management systems to ensure sustainability goals are met
* Stay current on industry regulations and standards
About You
* Proven experience in a similar role preferably in food safety, quality or compliance functions within a Distribution Centre, warehouse or operational setting
* Strong audit coordination, problem‐solving and documentation control skills
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in food safety, quality and compliance (e.g., ISO, FSSC, HACCP)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills with MS Office proficiency
* Qualifications in Food Safety, Quality, Compliance or related field (preferred)
* Availability to travel across both sides as needed
