In this role, you will work closely with subject matter experts, internal teams and external vendors to develop and maintain online and blended learning resources. You will review existing course content, create new learning materials and help ensure courses are engaging, accessible and aligned with contemporary adult learning principles.
You will also support the administration of RACS' Learning Management System (LMS), including creating course shells, troubleshooting access and reporting issues, coordinating upgrades and providing support and training to staff.
Key responsibilities
* Developing and updating online learning content and course materials
* Designing interactive learning activities and assessments
* Coordinating digital learning projects from planning through to delivery
* Working with graphic designers and other stakeholders to create digital assets and resources
* Maintaining consistency across courses and ensuring alignment with branding guidelines
* Supporting LMS administration, testing and troubleshooting
* Liaising with vendors and internal technical teams regarding upgrades and system improvements
* Providing technical support and guidance to staff and stakeholders
* Identifying opportunities to improve online learning processes and workflows
About the team
The Learning and Innovation team supports lifelong learning for aspiring and practising surgeons through high‐quality education programs and professional development opportunities. The team works collaboratively across the College and with external experts to deliver practical, learner‐focused education that supports the surgical profession. You will be part of a collaborative and knowledgeable team that values continuous improvement, strong working relationships and shared success.
About you
You are an organised and collaborative learning professional with experience developing online education resources and supporting learning technologies. You are comfortable managing multiple projects, working with a wide range of stakeholders and solving problems as they arise. You will bring:
* Qualifications in instructional design, education or a related field, or equivalent experience
* Experience developing online learning content and digital learning resources
* Strong skills using eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise
* Experience working with Learning Management Systems, ideally Moodle
* The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships
* Experience in healthcare or medical education is highly regarded, although surgical experience is not required.
