We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the asset lifecycle team, providing whole-of-life oversight of electricity network assets.
About the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of asset class plans, maintenance management, and replacement expenditure forecasting. They will also provide leadership and mentorship to uplift team capability and promote continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop and implement asset class plans to ensure evidence-based, outcome-driven lifecycle planning
* Provide engineering expertise to support near-term asset management decision-making
* Oversee coordination across asset classes to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and risk tolerances
* Establish and govern key asset management frameworks, including risk assessment methodologies and defect classification guidelines
* Support operational activities with timely engineering advice, defect investigations, and asset performance initiatives
* Monitor team and asset performance using KPIs, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and risk tolerances
* Act as a key interface between asset management, network planning, commercial, and regulatory teams
Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline
* Current ACT Professional Engineering Registration or ability to obtain
* Demonstrated expertise in electricity network asset management principles and frameworks
* Strong leadership and team management capabilities
* High-level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* Experience in engineering analysis, risk assessment, financial modelling, and economic evaluation
* Understanding of regulatory frameworks and contribution to regulatory submissions
