Overview
Ozcare Hervey Bay is a resort-style aged care facility designed to take full advantage of its coastal views and sea breezes. Centred around a striking atrium with a water feature, the service offers a vibrant, village-style environment that supports resident wellbeing and team engagement. We are currently looking for our next Clinical Care Manager who will lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality clinical care within this supportive and community-focused environment, ensuring residents receive compassionate, evidence-based care in a setting that truly feels like home.
Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Facility Manager, responsible for the overall day-to-day operations and governance for the delivery of clinical and direct client care.
* Provide clinical expertise.
* Lead and manage clinical and direct care employees.
* Deliver innovative care and services.
* Meet client care needs and required outcomes within the facility.
* Foster internal and external relationships.
* Implement continuous improvement activities.
* Ensure the facility meets accreditation requirements at all times.
* This role is supported locally with Clinical Nurses and 24/7 Registered Nurse coverage to ensure the facility fosters and maintains a culture of person-centred care.
Duties
* Provide exceptional clinical leadership to the direct care team.
* Promote a culture of service delivery excellence aimed at improving the wellbeing and lifestyle of clients.
* Oversee and monitor the delivery of care and lifestyle support, ensuring services are delivered according to identified individuals' needs, monitored and evaluated in accordance with Ozcare's Business Rules and Compliance requirements.
* Assist in maintaining occupancy of the facility.
* ACFI management, monitoring and associated business processes.
* Deliver innovative care and service within budgeted parameters.
* Liaise with the Facility Manager to forward the business plan and input to strategic directions.
* Assist to monitor staff performance and skill requirements.
Role Requirements
* Tertiary Qualifications in Health Science (Nursing) or Nursing Qualifications.
* Formal relevant postgraduate qualification in management and/or business is desirable.
* Demonstrated experience in a clinical leadership and management role.
* Strong understanding of the aged care industry and the clinical management requirements.
* Current registration with AHPRA.
* Intermediate to advanced computer skills to ensure ability to use Ozcare's management and clinical systems.
* First aid and CPR certificate required within one month of commencement.
* Be vaccinated against influenza and at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
