Work on high-end hospitality and hotel construction projects across Sydney. Our client is a dynamic head contractor specialising in boutique hotels and premium hospitality venues, offering projects ranging from $2m to $15m+.
Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, the company is hiring a Project Coordinator or Project Engineer to support successful delivery of hospitality and hotel construction projects in Sydney. The role reports to the Project Manager and plays a key part in coordinating project activities, managing documentation, and supporting site delivery teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Years of Experience required: 3 to 7 years+
Responsibilities
* Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and delivery of hospitality and hotel construction projects.
* Manage project documentation including RFIs, shop drawings, variations, and project registers.
* Coordinate subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to maintain project schedules.
* Support procurement processes including tender packages, scope reviews and contract administration.
* Monitor project schedules, budgets and reporting requirements.
* Assist with site inspections, quality assurance and compliance documentation.
* Track project progress and provide updates to the project team and stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate project records and documentation systems.
Qualifications and Requirements
* 3 to 7 years of experience in construction or project coordination roles.
* Experience working on hospitality, hotel or commercial fit‐out construction projects is advantageous.
* Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
* Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and problem‐solving ability.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project documentation systems.
* Experience with project management software such as Procore, Aconex or similar is advantageous.
This is a permanent full‐time position offering the opportunity to develop project delivery experience within a fast‐moving hospitality construction environment.
