Overview
The Casino Food Company Limited is a leading export-focused food processor with facilities in Casino and Booyong near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers region of the NSW Far North Coast.
We are currently seeking a Trades Assistant to join our Maintenance Department. The roster for this position is 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Prior experience is beneficial but not essential. We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and the right attitude—training and mentoring will be provided. The role primarily involves cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment throughout production areas, as well as providing general support to tradespeople during the afternoon shift.
Responsibilities
* Carry out general labouring tasks and assist trade staff.
* Clean and maintain machinery throughout production areas.
Qualifications
* A strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Basic mechanical aptitude
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Good IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
* Desire to learn new skills and undertake training
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
* Background in manufacturing or processing
* HR or HC driver licence
* Excavator, loader or bobcat competencies
* Exposure to mechanical maintenance tasks, such as equipment cleaning, basic repairs or tool handling
