The Opportunity
As Production Leading Hand, you'll work closely with site leadership to keep operations running safely and efficiently while supporting operators across daily mining activities. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone confident leading crews in a fast‐paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in overseeing daily mining production activities on shift
* Provide leadership, mentoring and practical support to operators
* Coordinate equipment movements and crew tasks across production areas
* Promote safe work practices through visible field leadership
* Conduct pre‐starts, toolbox discussions and shift communications
* Monitor operational performance and escalate issues when required
* Support achievement of production targets and site KPIs
* Maintain accurate shift records and operational reporting
* Contribute to a positive team culture focused on safety and performance
About You
* Previous experience in open cut mining operations
* Strong understanding of production mining and heavy equipment activities
* Demonstrated leadership or supervisory capability within mining crews
* Commitment to safe work practices and team accountability
* Effective communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a high‐performing environment
