The team
ASIC's Strategy and Corporate Affairs Group is responsible for leading ASIC's communications and stakeholder engagement including internal, corporate and external communications (including media), as well as digital and social channels. Its purpose is to build and leverage strategic stakeholder relationships to drive engagement and protect and enhance ASIC's reputation.
Group Communications leads the Strategic Communications and Internal Communications teams and takes a whole-of-ASIC approach.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Publications & Design Manager to support the team's direction and translate priorities into well-planned, high-quality publication outcomes.
* Lead the day-to-day delivery of writing and editing work, collaborating with team members to balance workloads, timelines and quality.
* Review and shape ASIC's key publications and documents, working alongside subject matter experts to turn complex regulatory content into clear, plain-English communications.
* Provide senior editorial guidance and support, partnering with stakeholders to strengthen structure, messaging, tone and accessibility across written products.
* Contribute to a supportive, high-performing team culture, mentoring other writers and editors, sharing expertise, and improving processes, tools and ways of working.
Qualifications
* Strong operational and project management capability, including experience planning, scheduling and tracking work to meet tight deadlines.
* Confidence using (or implementing) workflow and scheduling tools - such as Jira, Asana, or similar - to improve visibility, prioritisation and team delivery.
* Proven expertise shaping complex, technical content, translating it into clear, accessible communications.
* A cooperative, mentoring approach, supporting other writers and editors in the team and working constructively with stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes.
