Primary Job Summary
The Service & Technical Support Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality technical service support to customers and service partners. The role includes onsite troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and technical support for commissioning and equipment optimization. It collaborates with internal technical support teams to ensure best practices are implemented across installation, operation, and maintenance activities, while contributing to customer satisfaction, product improvement, and business growth. The role also supports training delivery, technical documentation, and selected administrative and commercial support activities.
Responsibilities
* Perform onsite visits to carry out proactive and reactive troubleshooting activities, as well as preventive maintenance on installed equipment.
* Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and provide hands‐on support at customer sites when required.
* Support the technical support team in delivering training programs to service partners and customers.
* Contribute to the development and dissemination of best practices for commissioning, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
* Collect and report technical feedback from field activities, including equipment issues, warranty cases and service observations.
* Support initiatives aimed at improving service performance and operational efficiency and contribute to achieving internal KPIs related to service quality, responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
* Provide administrative support for tasks such as internal documentation, customer service requests, invoicing queries and logistics coordination when required.
* Identify potential upgrade opportunities, retrofit solutions and new equipment sales during customer interactions and support business development activities.
* Share field insights, support engineering feedback loops and help define best practices across service operations.
Skills and Qualifications
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic field environment.
* Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
* Knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, particularly chillers and heat pumps.
* Understanding of control systems and communication protocols.
* Trade qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent technical background.
* Valid refrigerant handling certification (ARC or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a similar service or field engineering role (preferred).
* Experience with Turbocor compressors is highly desirable.
Education Requirements
* Technical diploma or vocational qualification in refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical or electrical engineering.
* Additional technical certifications or training in HVAC systems is a plus.
* Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and service documentation.
* Preferred experience in industrial or commercial HVAC service environments.

* Flexible working hours (between 06:00 – 17:00), 38 hours per week.
