Role Overview
An opportunity exists for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work within our Olympic Dam asset, performing planned, unplanned and breakdown maintenance activities within the Refinery plant of our surface operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment by adhering to standards and procedures.
* Develop close working relationships with operations personnel to ensure that all plant downtime issues are escalated correctly and remedied promptly.
* Provide continual feedback to the maintenance supervisor on job/task progress.
* Support the team's wellbeing and confidence in safety-related issues, while coaching and preventing harm.
* Execute activities across shifts and departments to safely add value and improve efficiencies.
* Provide technical expertise within the maintenance team, facilitating preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
* Foster collaborative and productive working relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrate an overriding commitment to working in a healthy, safe, environmentally responsible and sustainable workplace.
* Identify and communicate improvements to procedures, processes or plant, and participate in problem-solving and troubleshooting as required.
Requirements
* Minimum Australian recognised trade level qualifications within a mechanical discipline.
* A proactive Safety mindset and willingness to improve teamwork.
* Drive to develop skills and provide additional resources to the team.
* Previous 1SAP experience beneficial.
* Experience working with hydraulic systems preferred.
* Sound computer skills.
* Technical fault-finding and continuous improvement experience.
* Qualifications and experience working in hazardous area environments.
* Previous shift work experience.
* Ability to operate across multiple work-fronts, maintaining a clean and tidy workplace.
* Understanding of Quality Assurance principles and associated systems and practices.
* Production line manufacturing experience, including robotic systems, preferable.
* Demonstrate high maintenance optimisation and strategy frequency change reviews.
* Perform well within a high-performing team, making smart decisions based on changing conditions.
* Ability to use and pull resources to make team and business decisions when needed.
